The designers behind Missoma are a mother and daughter team comprising of Michele and her two daughters Sophie and Marisa, whose combined names gave the brand its name Missoma. Their passion for modern design enriched with intricate detail has produced a striking style of contemporary opulence in their designs, and Marisa’s life-long love of gemstones has largely influenced their use of bold colour combinations. These have also been inspired by the vivid colours seen in the works of Impressionists such as Gaugin and the Russian avant-garde artists of the early 20th century, and the rich cultures they have experienced and absorbed in their travels to countries such as Mexico, India, Morocco and Thailand, where they hand source their gemstones. |
