Why go to the museum for art, when you can adorn yourself with it? Sculptural jewellery is trending and, true to form, we just can’t get enough.
While we’ve been creating organic-inspired pieces for a long time now (see: our Savi collaboration and Molten edit), our latest collection, Molten Gemstone, gives you even more creative styles crafted from gold, silver, and semi-precious gemstones. Tickets to your own art show, incoming.
Crafting the Art
Our designers find inspiration for our sculptural pieces everywhere, whether it's interiors, lighting, or even ceramics.
From wax modelling and casting, to hand-painting, gemstone cutting and plating, the designs are then handcrafted by artisans — each using expertise passed down over generations.
All of our pieces are handmade in India and Thailand. Each Responsible Jewellery Council certified factory is carefully handpicked by our Founder and Creative Director, Marisa Hordern.
Wear Your Gold Bold
Did somebody say the Gilded Age 2.0? This season’s spotlight is shining on sculptural gold in the shape of chunky charms, drop earrings, and statement rings. We love the smoothness of molten gold pieces: where classic meets contemporary.
Sculpted Silver
Like more of a cool tone palette? Sculptural silver works with any ensemble, whether that’s occasionwear, a bold accessory for a pared-back outfit, or the ultimate look-at-me earrings. Artful, striking jewellery you’ll wonder how you got dressed without.
All of our sterling silver pieces are stamped with “925” to certify their authenticity. 925 sterling silver is an alloy made of 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% copper.
Sculptural Gemstones
Nothing works with abstract shapes like hand-cut gemstones. Our Molten Gemstone collection uses over 20,000 semi-precious stones, all cut bespoke for Missoma.
Each gem is crafted to fit perfectly within its setting, with each piece hand-finished by a master model maker to give it the perfect undulating textured look. Sculptural shapes from the ‘nugget’ to the ‘bean’ and ‘doughnut’ upgrade these jewel tones into works of art.
