The Legend of Liberty

One of London’s oldest and most exclusive department stores, it is housed in an exquisite mock-Tudor building on Great Marlborough Street with five floors of luxury goods including one-of-a-kind fabrics, fashion and jewellery.

In 1875, the department store's founder Arthur Lasenby Liberty borrowed £2,000 from his future father-in-law to purchase the building on Regent Street. The Great Marlborough Street shop followed in 1924, designed by Edwin T. Hall and his son Edwin S. Hall. Originally constructed from the timbers of two ancient 'three-decker' battle ships, today it is a heritage listed London icon.

Find our collaborations with Harris Reed, Lucy Williams, Savi, plus their Missoma Fine collection of solid 14ct gold pieces crafted with conflict-free diamonds. You can also discover our Icons and seasonal collections – including the latest from AW’22 – to try on in-store.

Missoma World is inspired by the layers of light and depth in our jewellery pieces. The design of our Liberty space has been created in a palette of earthy tones with pops of colour. Brass accents, complemented by apricot and pistachio tones, alongside natural textures immerse the space in an aesthetic echoing our identity: cool and refined with a sense of fun.

As a London brand, we are very excited to have our own space in the landmark that is Liberty London. It gives our community a real opportunity to try pieces on in real life, to layer them and stack them and see what suits their own personal style. Plus, as gifting season approaches, it’s the perfect place to find inspiration
