LAB GROWN DIAMONDS

Lab Grown Diamonds

Identical to their natural alternatives – just a more affordable option and without having to mine the earth.

Our 100% traceable lab grown diamonds are 'G/H' colour and 'VS+' clarity from SCS Global, a sustainably certified source.

Responsible Jewellery Council

Natural Diamonds

Ours are certified conflict-free as part of the Kimberley Process. They are 'G/H' colour and a minimum clarity of 'I2'.

The Kimberley Process unites administrations, civil societies, and industry in reducing the flow of conflict diamonds around the world.

Cubic Zirconia

Cubic Zirconia

Adding shine (for less) to our gold-plated jewellery. A durable and affordable alternative to diamonds.

THE 4 C'S OF DIAMONDS

The globally accepted standards for assessing the quality of diamonds - colour, clarity, cut, and carat weight.

Clarity

The measure of the purity and rarity of the stone, graded by the visibility of these characteristics under 10-power magnification. Our natural diamonds are graded a minimum of 'I2' while our lab grown diamonds are 'VS+'.

COLOUR

This refers to the natural tint of yellow inherent in white diamonds – the closer to 'colourless', the rarer it is. Both our natural and lab grown diamonds are graded 'G/H'.

CUT

The only C affected by human hands, this refers to how a diamond’s facets interact with light through symmetry, proportion, and polish. We work with Round Brilliant Cuts in both single (16 facets) and full-cuts (57 facets).

CARAT

This means the weight of a diamond, not the size (one carat equals 0.20 grams). Our carat weight can be found in the individual descriptions of each of our pieces.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the different types of diamonds

We offer both natural and lab-grown diamonds, graded by cut, clarity, colour, and carat to ensure top quality and shine.

What's the difference between lab grown and natural diamonds?

Lab grown diamonds are identical to their natural alternatives when it comes to looks, properties and quality – just often a more affordable option. Our natural diamonds are certified conflict-free.

Are Missoma diamonds ethically sourced?

Yes, all of our diamonds are responsibly sourced and conflict-free. We ensure they meet strict ethical standards through trusted suppliers who uphold responsible practices.

What is the difference between cubic zirconia and diamonds?

Our diamond jewellery is made by hand from 14ct solid gold. Cubic zirconia, on the other hand, is a man-made gemstone made to give shine (for less) to our gold-plated jewellery.

How should I clean and care for my diamond jewellery?

Clean your diamonds with warm water, mild soap, and a soft brush. Always avoid harsh chemicals.

How durable are diamonds, and can they get damaged?

Diamonds are durable but can chip or crack if hit hard. Handle with care and avoid exposing them to rough activities.

Can diamonds lose their shine over time?

Diamonds don’t lose their sparkle, but dirt can dull them. Regular cleaning will restore their brilliance.

What should i do if my diamond jewellery gets damaged?

Make sure to contact our Customer Care team.

How should I store my diamond jewellery?

Store diamond jewellery in a soft pouch or box, and keep it separate from other pieces to avoid scratches.

Can I wear my diamond jewellery every day?

Of course you can. Diamond jewellery is made for everyday wear, however we would advise to remove it during strenuous activities or when using chemicals to protect it.

Do Missoma diamonds come with a warranty?

Yes, all of our diamond jewellery comes with a two-year warranty. For more details contact our Customer Care team.

Do You Certificate Your Diamonds?

Within the jewellery industry, diamond certificates are typically only issued for larger individual stones – usually around 0.50 carats or more (approximately 5mm in size). As the diamonds used in our pavé-set jewellery are much smaller, measuring approximately 0.8mm each, they are not individually certified.

While we don't offer diamond certification for these pieces, all diamonds used meet our quality standards and are sourced through reputable suppliers. Our natural diamonds are sourced from trusted suppliers who comply with the Kimberley Process and the World Diamond Council System of Warranties, helping to ensure they are ethically sourced and conflict-free. The colour, clarity and total carat weight of each piece are disclosed on the individual product page.

Our lab grown diamonds are 100% traceable and sourced from a SCS certified supplier. They are G/H colour and VS+ clarity, with the total carat weight also disclosed on the product page.
