Solid Yellow Gold

Solid White Gold

Gold content: 9ct (37.5% pure gold) or 14ct (58.5% pure gold) Pros: For those who love the look of silver but want the durability of solid gold underneath, handcrafted from 100% certified recycled solid gold. Best for: A silver-toned everyday piece that's still built to last a lifetime.

18ct Gold Plated

Our 18ct gold-plated jewellery is crafted using two methods: electroplated onto brass with a two-micron layer on rings, pendant necklaces and bracelets, and a one-micron layer of 18ct gold on our earrings. Best for: Trending or accessible pieces you might want to change up.

18ct Gold Vermeil

Pronounced "ver-may," this is the gold-plating technique we're known for as the pioneers of demi-fine. It starts life as a sterling silver base, electroplated with a thick 2.5-micron layer of solid gold – a process called electrolysis, which makes it considerably more durable than standard gold plating. All our gold vermeil pieces carry the UK's '925' stamp for sterling silver purity, and are tested by the Assay Office, as required by law. Best for: Everyday demi-fine styling with a rich gold finish.

Mixed Metals

Can't decide between gold and silver? Now you don't have to, with 100% recycled gold and silver combined in one piece. Best for: Those who want to layer gold and silver together without overthinking it.

Your Guide to Caring for Your Gold Jewellery

• Cleaning - Gently rub your piece with a soft, non-abrasive, lint-free cloth. For a deeper clean, use mild washing-up liquid with warm water and a soft toothbrush, then rinse and pat dry. Avoid dip polish or abrasive jewellery cleaners as these contain harsh chemicals that can damage your pieces over time.
• Storage - Store each piece separately in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight, ideally reusing the pouch from your recyclable Missoma packaging to prevent scratching and tangling. Living somewhere humid? Pop in a small packet of desiccant crystals to help reduce tarnishing.
• Water exposure - Is gold jewellery waterproof? While our stainless steel plating is water-resistant, we'd always recommend removing your jewellery before swimming, showering or exercising. Moisture combined with chemicals can accelerate tarnishing and affect the gold layer over time. If your pieces do get wet, gently pat dry with a soft cloth rather than rubbing.
• Perfume - Apply perfume, lotions and hairspray before putting your jewellery on, not after. These products are one of the biggest causes of tarnishing over time.
• Travelling - Keep pieces separated in a jewellery roll or pouch to avoid scratching, and try to avoid leaving jewellery in direct heat for long periods.
• Polishing - Depending on how often you wear a piece, we'd suggest polishing every few weeks to every few months. Less frequently worn pieces only need polishing a few times a year.
